Lord Andrew Mawson, Founder of the Bromley by Bow Centre: We need to wind, what I call strands of gold like this, in to the Olympic project so that the legacy is real and has integrity and is deeply connected to the people and life of east Londoners.

David Higgins, ODA Chief Executive: Being able to bring the community along, particularly schools and those adjacent to the Olympics so they can participate in the process of building. They need memories of how it was developed.

Barbara Warren, Head of Greenacres Primary School: It's in a workshop like this that they really have the opportunity to really be creative.

John Armitt, ODA Chairman: There should be no end to what we can do.

The Olympics being a fantastic catalyst to really drive the future of this part of London.

If things are changing even now, although the Olympics is four years away, their environment is changing, their opportunities are changing and growing, which is fantastic for the children. I think it is really important that they are involved and that us as a school are involved in the changes of 2012.
