Construction Crew year two

Construction Crew year two

George Middleton, ODA Community relations: Hi, my name's George. I work with the ODA construction crew. We had a really successful first year of the project. We worked with 20 local students who came regularly out to the Olympic Park. Saw and learned about all of the progress we're making on the Park and they took that knowledge back to share with their mates at school.

Bronwen Anthony, Jenny Hammond School: At the beginning they were a bit anxious about what they were going to do, what's expected of them but I think they're very privileged and very honoured.

George Middleton, ODA Community relations: So this year the construction crew's back, we've doubled the number of students involved so we're up to 40. We've met with our students for the first time, and here are some of their feelings for the Olympic Park.

Construction Crew member 1: I really liked the swimming arena because it looked really nice.

Construction Crew member 2: I was really interested in seeing about the site and how it has changed a lot.

Construction Crew member 3: It's a good experience for me because I really wanted to see Olympic Stadium for once because I've never seen it in my life.

Construction Crew member 4: I feel really lucky and privileged because not many people have the chance to be part of the construction crew.

Construction Crew member 5: I enjoyed seeing the Olympic Stadium. It looked very nice and I liked seeing the Aquatics Centre. The roof was quite nice.

Construction Crew member 6: It's like a once in a lifetime opportunity and it's a really good experience visiting the Olympic site.

George Middleton, ODA Community relations: So over the next 12 months we're going to hit our peak of construction and there's going to be loads of opportunities within that time for the construction crew to get involved and have some really unforgettable experiences.
