Construction Crew assembly

Construction Crew assembly

George Middleton, ODA Community Relations, visits members of the Construction Crew presenting an assembly to their school
George Middleton, ODA Community Relations: The Construction Crew is a group of twenty students from year 6 of primary school from the five Host Boroughs, and they are going to be involved with us for six months initially to do a series of workshops looking at the work that we do as an organisation and the construction programme on the Olympic Park.

They will then go back to their schools to tell their peers and schools mates about what they've learnt and what we're doing as an organisation. Today we're here at Roman Road to listen to Nazime, Paige, James and Nadim speak about their involvement in the Construction Crew programme and what they've learnt so far about the Olympic Park and specifically about the work we're doing on environment and sustainability.

Construction crew members: We're going to talk about habitats and energy and waste and being green.

I think that when we did it in the head teachers office I thought it wouldn't go as planned but it went good.

We finished assembly and it was easy and not as hard as I thought and at the end everyone clapped.

I liked it.
