Seb Coe: At the end of the handover ceremony in Beijing on 24 August, the eyes of the world will then move to London.

Sir Keith Mills: The Beijing Games were brilliantly organised, the opening and closing ceremonies were spectacular, the sport was spectacular, and we did well.

Georgina Harland, athlete: And here we are standing in front of Buckingham Palace, you know, bring it on let's have the whole of the world come to Britain and let's show them what we've got.

Michael Phelps, Olympic swimmer: I look forward to having the opportunity to come back and hang out here, compete here and see the Olympics.

Bradley Wiggins, Olympic cyclist: Actually I was there at the Olympic site a few days ago and I started cycling there on the Lea Valley circuit, and that's made way now for the new Velodrome we're going to have now in a few years' time, so what a legacy it's going to leave.
