Location

ExCeL London is situated near London City Airport in east London’s Royal Victoria Dock.

The Docklands Light Rail network provides easy access to the venue from both the Olympic Park and central London from Custom House and Prince Regent stations. There are also excellent road links.

Getting ready

There is no construction needed to create ExCeL’s four arenas. Test events will be held in the year before London 2012 to ensure the venue will be ready to stage the Games.

During the Games

The LOCOG venues team will be creating four individual arenas in the 100 acre space, with seating for 6,000 -10,000.

Arena 1: 6,000 seats – Weightlifting and Paralympic Powerlifting
Arena 2: 10,000 seats – Judo, Wrestling and Boccia
Arena 3: 6,000 seats – Taekwondo, Table Tennis and Paralympic Table Tennis
Arena 4: 10,000 seats – Boxing and Wheelchair Basketball

After the Games
