Yolanda Bowler

YOLANDA BOWLER works in Sainsbury's Wetherby Local store and won the Customers' Colleague of the Year at the 2011 Stars Award. Sainsbury's colleagues are essential to the success of the company so the awards recognise them in different categories. Every year we ask customers across the UK to nominate their favourite colleague. In 2011 Yolanda Bowler was the standout winner - she was nominated by over 60 customers for doing her personal best by always being cheerful, courteous and giving good natured customer service.  Customers said she remembered them personally by name and always made their children feel special. She was delighted to win the award in front of 5000 colleagues at the Sainsbury's conference in September saying, "My customers like me as I'm always jolly and smiling. They ask me what my secret is to being so happy! I just enjoy helping them however I can."
