Taking part in the London 2012 Torch Relay is such a once in a lifetime opportunity and a dream come true for me. I am conscious that a number of people have spent many years raising funds for charities or caring for the sick and certainly deserve to carry the Torch more than I do. For me, I have dedicated the past 18 years working for an excellent organisation and have been lucky enough to spend that time working in many new regions. This has given me the opportunity to pass on my knowledge and skills to others and it has been immensely rewarding to see these individuals grow and develop in their job roles as a result of sharing knowledge. This satisfaction must be the same for the many thousands of coaches who have given their time to train youngsters to enable them to reach Olympic sporting standards.
