Bill Caplan

As part of the senior management team for a global organisation I travel far and wide regularly and realise I am very fortunate to be in the position I am. On my travels I not only see the good but also the bad where poverty and financial deprivation are rife. So I have given back by using my time and knowledge over the past 25 years in a variety of ways. One of which is to help those with drug and alcohol problems. This to me is truly inspirational as I see how these individuals can escape their dependency and turn their lives around, be revitalised with a renewed focus and enthusiasm for life through the help, guidance and support of others. Carrying the Olympic Torch is an honour - to be a part of this with so many people from all walks of life is something I will never forget!
