Wendy is a remarkable person who has experienced real adversity in her own life resulting in her becoming the most non-judgemental, helpful and thoughtful person I know. After a ten year period of problematic drug use Wendy built her life back up and has now been drug free for 11 years. Wendy has used her life experience to help others in her community from working with young people to helping marginalised, stigmatised adults in the most trying of circumstances. In addition she is always there for friends and family. Wendy undertook a social work degree, which added to her capacity to help others. Wendy is so difficult to describe fully with words but I feel that the essence of her is her natural ability to see all people as equal, seeing them as human beings with their own remarkable and unique strengths and qualities. Wendy recognises people are different to each other but conveys that no-one is any better than anyone else and uplifts people because of this, encouraging them to understand what they have within themselves is of great worth. Wendy is a wonderful person to be with in times of either joy or sorrow.
