Victoria Swain

Victoria served a tour of Afghanistan in 2010 for the Royal Engineers and was not only brave enough to serve the forces for 6 months but also as an IED searcher and bomb disposal expert. She was the first ever female to do this role in Afghanistan and worked in some of the most hostile and notorious areas of Helmand. At 25 and even 8 years my junior, Victoria is not only one of my best friends but my personal hero.
