Tori Lau

Tori has become massively involved with Fairtrade holding attending or assisting at events for the cause spreading word of it's importanceI currently volunteer in a local non-profit fairtrade shop and after becoming more and more interested in fairtrade I decided to hold an event at my school. During fairtrade fortnight I held a 'Big Brew' serving free cups of fairtrade tea (in eco-friendly cups donated by Starbucks) and getting students to decorate pieces of fairly traded cotton bunting to contribute to a world record attempt. It raised money and awareness and I hope to continue to do this by holding future events and hopefully making my school a fairtrade school. Throughout my life I know fairtrade will always be a cause close to my heart and wherever I may be I will always raise awareness and support it whether its by buying a fairtrade banana or handing out a leaflet.
