Val Schilling

Val has set up and runs the stroke information drop-ins at Wood Green library on the first Wednesday of the month. Val recruited stroke survivors and carers to assist her runing these sessions which increase awareness of the signs of stroke in the local community. Val has also mapped out and collated all relevant stroke information and is setting up information points for stroke survivors and their families. This is all done on a voluntary basis and has been so successful that this week she started a stroke information drop-in at Hornsey Library. Information provision tends to be an area of concern for stroke survivors and their families. Val has lead on improving this for Haringey residents of which we are all so proud.
