Vaitheeswaran Sreeram

I came from a modest family in Kerala, India where it wasn't easy to have resources to succeed in life. Needless to say that Cricket was and is a way of life for the youth in India. Cricket has always been a passion and my love for the game helped me realize many a friendships, team-work and my ability to lead & contribute to society. There was a time when our community Cricket Club had closed down due to lack of funds and this had really affected the youngsters around the area. They needed a spark which I provided. At a time when I was struggling to save money for my family, I extended my help by providing the money to re-start the Club and give the impetus. I motivated the team to take-up the game again and in a very small way succeeded in doing something positive for my friends & local community. Now 25 years down the line I have a better life and thankfully I am able to donate something every year to other Associations which help the needy to get by in life.
