Our exceptional Trudy should be the torchbearer. She is a great colleague who always goes above and beyond. Although she is only a part time teacher at our school she has taken over the organising of PE, started a netball club, taken the children to tournaments locally as well as taught maths the 'caramel' way. Out of work she is just as busy, helping a friend pack up and move house (twice!) as well as managing the local girl's rugby teams. This is what they say: Trudy is energetic, positive, supportive, happy go lucky, cheerful at all times and a friend to all and most definitely deserved this most wonderful opportunity. Jane. She gives up so much of her time to help, taxiing us around to matches, making birthday cakes. I just wanted to say that she is an inspiration to me and think she would do us proud with the Olympic torch! Trudy has given up her time for other people in millions of circumstances. - Katie. Trudy gives moral support, exam pressure all the teenage stuff; she's like our second mum. Saffie Nothing is ever too much trouble; taking elderly neighbours to hospital appointments and cooking them dinner, getting involved in the PTA or organising fund raising events. She was secretary of the local football team as well as having run the Dorset league. She is also chair of our local scouts. Until you meet Trudy you will never really have realised what a huge smile one person can have. She is simply marvellous and a tremendous asset to our community.
