Trevor is a former pupil of Larne Grammar School went on to make 31 competitive appearances for the Irish Rugby Team, winning the Triple Crown in 1982 and 1985. He was a key member of the Ireland team which played in the Inaugural Rugby World Cup in 1987, was selected for the British Lions tour of New Zealand in 1983. Despite a hectic schedule as a partner in a top Solicitors Firm, Trevor has still found the time to be a member of the NI Policing Board, board member of Ireland Funds, Director of Mediation Northern Ireland, serve on the Sports Council for NI, the Broadcasting Council of the BBC, recently co-chaired the Irish stage of the World Rally Championship, is chairman and co-founder of the One Small Step Campaign. His belief in the power of sport to bring about peace has been well documented and in 1996 he organized a special peace International match in Dublin between Ireland and the Barbarians. In 2007, following in the footsteps of sporting legends such as Muhammed Ali, Billie Jean King and Cathy Freeman, he was the joint winner of the ESPY Athur Ashe Award. The award was presented to him and colleague Dave Cullen for their role as the driving forces behind Peace Players International, an organization devoted to promoting unity between Catholics and Protestants through Sport. Described by his peers, as 'one of the great rugby union wingers of his generation' Trevor is an inspiration to young and old, with vision and leadership to move Northern Ireland forward. I am 'Co-Chair' of the One Small Step Campaign which promotes a Shared Future in Nothern Ireland. Also Dave and I were only 'two of' the driving forces behind PPI NI. I am also Trustee of the RUC(GC) Foundation and the IFA's Football For All Panel
