Trevor Griffiths

Trevor is carrying the Olympic Flame on behalf of his son Jack who is a diabetic type 1, and was diagnosed when he was only 3 years of age, Jack is a truly remarkable young man to all that get to know him, he is 10 years old and from the age of 6 he as been raising money for diabetes by raffling football signed tops , baking cakes and selling them, or selling his own stuff at car boots, he practises Judo where he achieved Best Boy thropheu, also rugby where he got mini achiever and many more medals, at cubs he was present with Silver award by the Mayor of Droitwich and that`s the highest award you can get for cubs, he has swam 1 mile under 60 minutes, and he also plays the piano. Jack is determined to prove just because he as diabetes he can still achieve as much as anyone else, we as a family were devasted when Jack was diagnosed but we couldn`t be more proud of what an amazing young man he become.
