Tonya is such an inspirational person. From the age of 15 Tonya became very ill and was diagnosed with lupus which attacked her main organs. Tonya's parents were told she had 3 weeks to live. Amongst other things tonyas heart, lungs and kidneys were affected resulting with half a lung being removed. Tonya received the amazing gift of life a kidney transplant which she has had for 24 years now. Tonya ran for the county as a child, so continued training after her transplant. Tonya then represented the county and country in the british and world transplant games, competing around the world and winning various medals including golds. Last year tonya was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to have a course of radiotherapy. Throughout all of Tonyas tough times she has never given up and has now started up her own charity, Lets Do It Anyway to help people in the local community.Ton is my hero
