Toni Mcintosh

Toni has been running for 20 years. She is extremely passionate about her sport and totally focussed on achieving her potential. She is dedicated and competitive, winning running titles at different levels. When not competing at events, Toni helps out with stewarding and marshalling. She has overcome injury and doesn`t ever give up. Toni has, over the last couple of years really invested her time, energy and enthusiasm into helping other people of all ages find enjoyment from running and taking part in running events. She has instilled this enjoyment into those of us who started out as complete non-runners and who thought we would never do it. Toni is a fantastic motivator, constantly offering help, support and encouragement, ensuring none of us ever give up. She has turned us into runners. Toni's ability and love of her sport, together with her inspirational, motivational qualities, make her a wonderful role model for younger athletes and more generally for people of all ages. Although it is my name on this nomination I have spoken to others who Toni has inspired and it is supported by them too. We strongly recommend that you consider Toni for this honour. We would all be thrilled if she could bear the torch for the Olympics.
