Tim Beeston

I have taken part in many running Marathons over the past 20 years raising around £20k in total for many different charities (including NSPCC / Cystic Fibrosis Trust / Childline / Meningitis Trust / Teenage Cancer Trust / National Autistic Society).

The high point was when I guided a partially sighted runner in the London Marathon - it was a personal dream of his to take part and I was honoured to help him to achieve this. I get just as much, if not more, pride and satisfaction from being able to assist these charities with their worthwhile work as I do from competing in the events themselves.

I have also mentored young students at a local Paddington School over the last 5 years, developing their reading and writing skills. I have also helped to raise money for a Rooftop Garden for the school which was recently built. CR
