Tom Perkins

(Invensys PLC) Tom Perkins has always been a keen athlete. About 15 years ago he was involved in a near fatal motor cycle accident which resulted in him sustaining a number of injuried including critical burns and the loss of the whole of his right arm. After a relatively short period of convalescence, he completed the 3 peaks challenge for charity. He also returned to swimming, running and cycling on a regular basis for competitive and charity events. At the time of his accident, Tom was a retained fire-fighter. Although he is no longer able to take an active front line role, he continues to give support to the fire service and the community via administration activities for the fire service. Tom is a very friendly and positive character and is always willing to help others whenever he can.
