Thomas Haighton

Thomas is an inspirational individual who dedicates most of his time to working and volunteering to care for adults with learning disability I was shocked to find out I was Nomonated for future flames. I have a real passion for learning disability and have been working with both Children and Adults from leaving school some 12 years ago. I started volunteering in a Junior Gateway club at 13 years old and have scince loved this work! I am now the leader of a Senior Gateway Club and work full time for adults with learning disabilities. I enjoy ensuring that all people in my care get the best out of thier time with me and will fight nail and tooth for thier rights. I will continue on this path as long as I can as I get so much enjoyment and find working with these guys very rewarding. we should all focus on the persons ability! Not disability MY Goal: change peoples preceptions!
