Tommy Gee

I would like to nominate Tommy to carry the Olympic Flame because i think he is an amazing person. Tommy works at Truro collage where he is a learning support assistant to teenagers in the life long learning sector. He loves his job and has formed real bonds with the kids that he works with, in April he led some of them in the Ten Tours on Dartmoor and often takes them for large walks around the Cornish coastline.

Tommy is an avid surfer who is in the sea at any opportunity. He also enjoys passing on his skills and knowledge about the sea, helping out at a local Children's surf club 'Wave slaves'. They meet up once a week in the summer months where the children get the opportunity to develop their skills under the supervision of qualified volunteers. The club are often represented in surf competitions around Cornwall where Tommy and the other instructors get to take the children away on camping trips which are often a new experience for those involved.

Tommy willingly gives up his own time to help at wave slaves while managing to maintain a good social life with friends who admire him while at the same time being a caring and supportive partner to me!
