Tom Duncan

Although having a serious medical condition, Tom puts so many hours into the local sea scout group- not only planning and running weekly meetings but over night camps, sailing trips and all the bureaucratic side, filling in forms, being a first aider, maintaining the scout groups website. If Tom does all this to make sure the sea scouts not only have a brilliant time but are also active, well respected members of the local community. Tom also went as far to give up 2 weeks of valuable annual leave to travel to the world scout jamboree as part of the staff team, to share his passion and skills with scouts from all over the world. If this were not enough, Tom does all this despite suffering from a serious medical condition from the age of 15 and still has a negative impact on his health.
