Tom Conaghan

(WM Grant) Since Tom's mum died of breat cancer he has been raising money for the charity breast cancer. He has done this through the hewlp of local businesses and in organising events like auctions and raffles. Over and above, he has been runnig half and full marathons. Another charity close ot his heart is SENSE for deaf and blind children and adults. His friend had twins who were born prematurely and as a result of this one of the boys suffered serious complications both physically and mentally. The baby needed specialised equipment to be able to stay at home so in order to buy the equipment, Tom organised an event at a local hotel and raised in excess of £23K. Over the years and with thanks to local residents and also WM Grants colleagues, Tom has raised over £15K, one raffle alone and £850 in the space of 3 hours. He is currently in the ballot for 2012 London Marathon and hopefully he will be successful and raise even more money.
