Tom Baptist

Tom is one of the kindest, most selfless people I have ever met. He runs and implements the outreach work for a residential youth centre in Derbyshire called The Briars. His job involves visiting schools across the Nottingham Diocese (that's FIVE counties) & teaching, engaging & inspiring young people about issues that affect them today. He mainly teaches about global justice and equality and is a passionate, active supporter of Fair Trade - he won't buy any of his clothes or food from anything other than fair trade or a charity shop! Through his work he's raised thousands and thousands of pounds for numerous charities including CAFOD and Save The Children. He's well known and VERY well liked in the education community and he deserves to be recognised for his incredible hard work and inspiring character, both professionally and personally. I feel very lucky to have him as a friend.
