Terry Kirby

I would like to nominate my partner Terry, to be an Olympic Torch Bearer for London 2012. It was only about 5 years ago that he discovered running for the first time. Yet in that comparatively short time, he has progressed from being a total beginner, to become the fully qualified Lead Coach at his local running club, Bitton Road Runners in Bristol. His kindness, understanding, technical knowledge and boundless enthusiasm have allowed him to help so many runners, at all levels of ability - and he spends so much of his time ensuring others can both enjoy and improve their running. He would consider it a real honour and a thrill, to be included in our Olympics in this way - and I believe he truly deserves the opportunity to be a part of this momentous occasion.
