Taylor Whelpton

Basketball i play for 4 teams and coach 2 junior teams last year i became the youngest fully qualified basketball coach in GB. This year i became the youngest fully qualified basketball coach in GB at age 16. I love basketball and I love teaching it. I coach an under 19's and 8-16's team with great success in both. My aspirations are to revolutionise English basketball because at the moment the UK's passion for it is dwindling. I want to do this by encouraging youths to play it in school and commit to teams. By targeting a young age group maybe the next generation will have as much passion as me for the game and maybe then my dream to coach the Olympic basketball team to gold could be achieved. I'm helping children develop skills and passion for a game which could change their lives; I'd love to be given an opportunity that could change mine. Thankyou Taylor (17)
