My wife is an incredible and inspirational person who many people including myself wishes she could have this opportunity to carry the torch in 2012. In 2003 our eldest son who was 5yrs at the time had a fit for over an hour and ended up on life support. Meanwhile Tamara's parents took our youngest (who was 2 yrs) back to Kent to look after him. Tamara had a call in the hospital to say youngest had 12 hours to live as he had meningitis and septicaemia. Luckily they both survived but have additional needs and they say lightening never strikes twice! Over the past 7yrs she has not only supported the boys but has completed her BA HONS in education, Early Years Professional Status and completed an innovation project (never did well at school). She volunteers at a sports club for children with disabilities and the sea cadet corps teaching children and adults. she does run at least once a week and she would love the opportunity to prove to others that what ever life throws at you life dreams can be achieved if you really want it.
