Takashi is a young black man who lives in Hackney , London, who has achieved much in his first twenty three years. He studied sports at Btec level achieving many sports awards and coaching qualifications. As a teenager he joined a local estate based community youth club and very soon started up sports at the youth club , working there as a volunteer sports assistant. Highly motivated he went to university and successfully completed a community sports degree. He returned to his old youth club and developed a designated community sports club for all ages and abilities. He is currently developing a community sports programme for young people with disabilities. He has gained more sports qualifications and won local awards for his sports and volunteering activities. He also volunteers at the youth club helping out on creative and educational projects. As a volunteer he runs the sports club every week twice a week and has done so for a long while now with no funding but lots of determination. He also volunteers around the borough on other community and sports projects and is a great role model. In the last year he went to the Gambia and worked on volunteer sports activities with school children and intends to make international community sports links, especially with young people with disabilities. Finally he is the youth member on the local tenants association and is a very committed young citizen. He inspires everyone in the local community. I'm Mixed White & Black Caribbean not Black. I studied Sports Science at BTEC National Level, Not Btec Level. I Successfully completed a Community Sport Coaching Degree, Not Community sports degree. As a Community Sport Coach, Not As a Volunteer.
