Taj is a huge credit to herself through her passion for helping others to achieve their best and creating opportunities for others to enjoy sport and physical activity. In 2009 Taj was nominated as one of 10 students in the UK to be a British Colleges Sport National Ambassador. The ten students were selected through their demonstration of what it is to be a sports ambassador, with huge passion, enthusiasm and energy. As national ambassadors they represented college students across the UK, shaping the development of BCS and also helping to deliver large national programmes around coaching, volunteering and leadership. Taj did a very successful job as a national ambassador and was selected as part of a cohort in a leadership project to India, delivering activities to young people. During Taj's time at the college she smashed the college record for volunteering hours in a year, clocking up more than 300! There was no reward for this amount in the step into sport scheme. Taj's dedication is evident in the amount of community work that she has done as well as the amount of hard work she puts in with family and friends, organising events for everybody to take part in. After graduating from the BCS sports ambassadors scheme Taj was invited back by BCS to be a executive mentor for the following cohorts, not just for the following year but for many to come. Taj is a very reknowned sports volunteer in Leicestershire and would be a great ambassador for the the community.
