Sydney Dean

For over twenty years Sydney Dean has been instrumental is raising thousands of pounds for a large number of charities - half a million, at the most recent estimate. A member of the Mayor of Winchester's Charities' Committee, he has devised a string of successful events, some on a massive scale, for good causes from the local to the national, including Macmillan Nurses, The St. George Foundation and Canine Partners. Sydney is also someone who makes things happen in his local community of Swanmore in Hampshire. He has organised the carnival, the fete and the holiday club for disadvantaged children. With his sights now on Golden Jubilee and 2012 celebrations, this is a man who always has a project on the go. Sydney is an inspirational yet unassuming character raising funds to better the lives of thousands as well as giving untold pleasure to residents of Hampshire and beyond.
