Suzie is a 14 year old high flyer. She's a girl guide aiming to complete the Baden Powell Challenge Badge, the highest award achievable in guides. She plays piano, clarinet, tennis, golf and athletics. This week she's competing in the Dinas Powys Lawn Tennis Club summer tournament. She is an enthusiastic participant in athelics competitions and just completed the race for life 5K in under 30 mins. Over the last 3 years she's climbed Snowden, Ben Nevis and Scafel pike.
She's a grade A student in all subjects and next year will be studying for her GCSEs in English, Maths, Science, French, Geography, German, History, IT, PE, RE and Welsh.
This summer she's helping out my friend while on holiday by feeding the chickens and cats and maintaining the house and garden. This she does willingingly and enthusiastically.
Some of the comments from this years school report are:
'It is an absolute pleasure to teach Suzie'
'She should feel extremely proud of her success and determination'
'She has shown a high level of commtment and her attainment grade was of an excellent standard'
Other in School achievements are the Lily Anne Rogers Year 9 prize for outstanding progress and year 9 form representative on school council where she proposes many inventive ideas such as transforming an unused section of school field into a new hockey pitch.
She always takes on new challenges with a positive and determined mind and would relish the opportunity to carry the torch for her county.
