Susanna Ditton

Susanna is my inspiration. Born tiny and early she has overcome spinal problems and bullying. Her enthusiasm for life is insatiable and she has a great desire to always do her best. Always concerned with injustices in the world, she spent 6 months volunteering in Kenya. While teaching in an underprivileged school and helping in an orphanage, she brought joy and laughter to every child. Her passion was ignited in the children and she provided extra English lessons to increase their chances of getting a good job. Touched by the need, she has returned this summer with more classroom resources, and will go on to Uganda to distribute books and work in schools there. Susanna has risen to every challenge, competing in unpopular steeplechase events for her athletic club when no-one else would, and encouraging me (50+ mother of 4) to take up running! With her constant encouragement I have since completed two marathons and raised over £3500 for charity, something I never thought possible!
