Susan Rae

My mum has been the treasurer of the East Dorset branch of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research for nearly 40 years. She's organised all sorts of charitable events from collections outside shops and public venues to charity walks and programme sales at Rallye Sunseeker, teddy bear stalls and bric-a-brac stalls. She not only organises things but counts and banks the money raised. She has done all of this not only during her recent retirement but also during her working career with Lloyds TSB. My mum is a true inspiration not only to myself and other charity members but also to my friends and members of our community. I'm very proud of her and would like the world to be too in this incredibly important sporting event!!
