Sue is a busy practice nurse who also helps care for her grandchildren and elderly mother. On holiday in Mombassa she was touched by the poverty she saw around her. She,with 2 friends, set up a charity, Books & Bread for Kenya, to provide food, healthcare and school equipment for needy children. In her 'spare time' at home Sue raises money in many ways including running a charity stall at a local market. She uses her hoildays to visit the projects, taking medical supplies, school uniforms, stationary and books etc. Whilst there she looks to see what other needs are there, makes use of her nursing skills to provide essential healthcare such as immunisations, and helps out wherever she can in the schools and orphanages the charity partners with. She is passionate about the work she does and is a real inspiration.
