Sue Gillingham

We are nominating our wonderful sports coach, Miss Gillingham of Branksome Heath Middle School, to carry the olympic torch. We think she would be great for this because she has helped the year 6 sports team so much. She is really encouraging and she gives up lots of her free time after school and saturdays. She teaches so many sports such as cricket, football, athletics and tag rugby. The girls year 6 cricket team got through to the county finals, thanks to Miss Gillingham, and came 2nd. She gave up her saturdays to come and coach us for a tag rugby tournament. She coached the year 6 and 7 girls football team and they went on to win the county cup two years in a row. Miss Gillingham coaches all years at the school but we, as year 6 girls, would like to nominate her as we think she is the very best and would love to thank her by doing something special for her.
