Stuart Vanstone

Stuart Vanstone is Cardiff University's Director of Sport. Thanks to his leadership and direction, the University is at the forefront of Olympic and Paralympic activity in Wales and will host three Olympic Training Camps in 2012 (football, boxing and paralympic basketball). The cultural and economic benefits these camps will bring to the University, our students, the city of Cardiff and Wales as a whole are significant. Associated legacy programmes established by Stuart and partners across Wales will help encourage children and teenagers of all backgrounds and abilities into sport and will support and develop the next generation of Olympians. Stuart's commitment to sport and supporting new talent is unstinting. Along with overseeing every aspect of sport at Cardiff, Stuart has helped establish a junior football development Centre at the University, is the National Team Manager for Welsh Universities representative squads and is also Director of Welsh Rowing's International Committee.
