Steven Lafferty

As a school(King Arthur's-Wincanton,Somerset) we would like to nominate Steve to carry the olympic torch at some point on the route, because of the unswerving loyalty he has given the school as a mentor over a number of years. Steve has worked with a high number of disaffected students to help them continue with their education when all the odds are stacked against them.Steve gives his time once a week(even though he is a director of his own company) without ever complaining or missing an appointment. He comes in and meets with the students and reflects what has been happening he then sets targets for the coming weeks. A fair few students owe Steve a great deal as they are now fully participating in the local community. Steve strives to do his best for our students and is such a inspiration, he shows them the greatest respect and they reflect this back. He has also provided our students with work experience placements, he gives his time and dedication to show our students his business and gives them a very rewardable two weeks.
