Steven Doherty

Steven is 38 years old and the eldest of my four sons. He has a Masters Degree in History and works with me in our family business. A couple of years ago during the worst of the recent recession I was sure that we were not going to survive. I didn't tell the family although they probably had an idea that we we not doing that well. Steven had other ideas. He always believed and said many times that there will always be room for a good company, he encouraged us all to do everything possible to keep going. Today we are still here and stronger than ever and a lot of the thanks must go to Steven. Twelve years ago we moved to Derry. Steven who is a keen soccer fan found it difficult to join a local soccer team. So with his friends Steven started his own team 'City Colts' and joined the local soccer league in their bottom division. For the first couple of years they didnt win a match, in fact I heard it said that they were the team that everybody wanted to play. As the years passed, with Stevens motivation, the team improved, and this year they finished league champions and gained promotion. I would like you to please consider my son Steven, as he is very popular in Derry and very special to us as is all our Sons.
