Steve is ALWAYS enthusiastic and has the biggest smile. He is probably the most positive, kind and friendly person I know and that translates itself to his work where he will always go the extra mile. I know for a fact that he tries to make every flight the most special possible, be that through inviting children (and their over-keen parents) up to the flight deck after landing, trouble-shooting during delays and just generally being visible and approachable by the passengers. He also cares about and looks after his crew extremely well.Steve always wears a big smile; he conducts himself in such a professional and friendly manner despite having lost his one year old son earlier this year after a sudden, terrible battle with a rare genetic condition.I know how keen he is on sport, both watching and participating, and whilst carrying the Olympic torch would not make everything right in his life, it would undoubtedly be a lovely treat for someone so special who has suffered so much pain this year.
