Stephen's nomination story

Stephen has been seriously ill over the past 18 months with cancer. Since day one of his diagnosis he has been passionate about one thing, and that is getting back to work for his beloved British Airways. He has been through a tremendous amount with his treatment, and yet has remained buoyant and determined at all times. He has shown incredible courage throughout, and never lost sight of the fact that he would one day be back at work looking after our Customers, and delivering his usual high standard of Customer Service. During the time Stephen was off work, he constantly kept in touch with everything that was happening with BA, and was filled with pride by the new advertising campaign. The doctors and nurses at the hospital knew that they were dealing with a patient that had an incredible passion for the Company he worked for, and were continually 'harrassed' to allow Stephen to return to work. On the day that Stephen returned to work, he was so very excited and proud to once again be wearing his uniform, and the look of delight on his face was evident to see. Stephen has been an absolute inspiration to all of us, and I believe he would be the perfect candidate to represent BA and know he would see it as an incredible honour.
