Steve Magnall

Steve simply never stops helping others. For many years he was a member of the Bury Abbey Rotary Club (and vice-chair from 2008-09). He wasn't just part of the organising team, but was an active fundraiser, most notably raising over £6,000 for local charities by running the London marathon in 2006, and completing the 3 Peaks Challenge within 24 hours in June 2009. He joined the Bury St Edmunds Cathedral's Finance Committee by invitation in 2009, and has been playing a part in keeping the building accessible to the public and ensuring its survival and historical significance for future generations. He was recently asked to join the Board of Trustees, (of which he is now Chair) of a local drug and alcohol rehabilitation charity, Focus12. Steve is actively ensuring that maximum funds are raised, and that these funds are then used in the most effective way possible to help transform people's lives.
