As PDM I am one of the most privileged people within all 53 of our schools in Stafford and Stone. My role gives me the opportunity to work with pupils of all age, gender, race and ability. Alongside all these pupils I am fortunate to be able to promote School Sport and NSSW to many of our local clubs, hundreds of teachers, thousands of parents and many other members of our community. Lloyds TSB NSSW has given me such a unique chance to share the message of how sport can play such an important part in all our lives. I have embraced this and ensured the week has been given the significance and importance it truly deserves. Whether I deserve to carry the flame or not is a question that should be answered by others. However, if by any slim chance I was given the opportunity, the flame would be carried for the achievements of the young people in Stafford and Stone, the dedication and hard work of teachers and staff and in recognition of all our volunteers and leaders. The carrying of flame would symbolise the importance of School Sport for all the young people in Stafford and Stone.
