(Avis Rent A Car Ltd) I've been coaching judo for 10 years; 4 nights a week on a voluntary basis at council run Walls End Judo Club and Westgate Judo Club and at North Shields YMCA. They are in the West End of Newcastle, within a diverse community. I also coach judo at a YMCA Summer Camp. Judo teaches respect and discipline and helps keep kids off the street. i've coached some challenging kids, with some great successes. it has given them greater confidence, they smile and laugh more and it has helped them interect with others. it really makes a difference to their lives. In addition, i've recently completed a 4 year term as parent governor at Holypark Primary School in Washington. Being an Olympic Torch Bearer at the London 2012 games would mean the world to me; a dream come true; an experience. I'd simply love to be part of that experience.
