Steffi Allen-griffiths

Steffi is a young girl who has always looked alot older for her age a bonus you might think however it has not been at 13yrs and nearly 5ft 10in she towers over her peers and this can cause others to poke fun at her! When she was born she didn't sleep until she was 3yrs old we found out at this time that she had an arthritic type problem and that given with the fact that she wouldn't stop growing which has at time taken its toll. Steffi found walking hard and was nearly 8 before she didn't need a major buggy anymore! Steffi although found moving around etc hard pushed herself in dancing/judo and gym just to keep her supple and moving it was either that or take the risk of her ending up in a wheelchair. Since she has got older she has won many judo/dancing awards etc. she has also developed known and unknown allergies as well having to take daily medication she has to carry Epipens (in case of an Anyphylactic episode) around with her at all times and exercise does worsen her condition at times. However all of this has not stopped her doing all that she does taking part in all activities in and out of school that she can. She also tries to help out as an official at the judo club an nationally. She was part of our family's Making a Difference Awards win in 2010 and has been selected to be a Judo GB World Cup Player Escort in Oct 2011 together with managing to do all her acting and theatrical work that she does Bilingually she really is a true Welsh Young Ambassador.
