Søren Olsen

Søren is 23 years old and plays 1st division handball in his local club Ribe-Esbjerg HH. Søren recently lost his twin brother, Lars Olsen, in a tragic accident during a handball match. Søren has been selected as torchbearer to respect his brother's memory and for showing that despite of the tragic loss; Søren will keep on with his sport. Both Søren and his brother have always been very helpful in their local handball club, and have always been ready to help Ribe Sports Club in relation to tournaments for badminton, soccer or any other sports events. It means a lot for Søren and the whole Olsen-family that Søren will get the opportunity to run in the honor of his brother, Lars.
