Sophie Williams

Sophie, now aged 20, is a talented young fencer who has made extraordinary progress in the last 2 years. As well as achieving at a high level in the sport, representing GB at the 2011 Senior European, Senior World and Junior World Fencing Championships. Sophie is a great role model for young fencers at Truro Fencing Club. Her work ethic, positive attitude and passion for the sport have not only led to her winning medals at Junior World level but also lead her to help younger or less experienced fencers at the club. Sophie has given her time to assist n refereeing and looking after young fencers at training camps, school competitions and other fencing events in Cornwall. She is a worthy candidate to bear the Olympic Torch.
