As chairperson of NICRAS he organised cross cultural events for asylum seekers and refugees helping integration and breaking down sterotypes. Soma is heavily involved with ARTSEKTA and coordinates the events and food stalls at the Belfast Mela, Northern Irelands largest multicultural event. He has also volunteered for the Indian Community Centre and Feile An Phobail while caring for his wife. He is a star!!
