My little brother was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2005 when he was just 5 years old. He was in a cast for a long time (from his right leg up to his stomach) for nearly 1 year. He then had to learn to walk again at the same time battling through the cancer. He now has one leg slightly shorter than the other. By the grace of God he has battled through the cancer but has had problems with his legs and back over since. Sohail always tries his best and has had a smile on his face, even when going through chemotherapy and the rest of his treatment. Seeing him suffer has made me and my family realise how evil cancer is - and that we are lucky to have been able to move past the dreadful disease. Sohail has completed his junior golf proggramme (despite his leg problem) after he learnt to walk again - showing his dedication to improving his health after battling cancer. He has appeared on the CBBC, on the show TMI several times in 2010-as finalists. In 2011 he will also be on another show on the CBBC. He was dedicated to applying for TMI for upto 2 years before they selected him to go on - showing that even though he has battled through so much and was still going through a lot of pain - he didn't let it stop him from making his dreams come true. I know there are many who deserve to carry the torch- but for me my little brother is an inspiration, to people seeing others suffer from cancer and to the children who are suffering from the dreadful disease right now.
