I would like to nominate Siwan, she is 34 years old, is a ex Wales football player, she is extremely athletic, is a second Dan in karate and has come first 4 times in the race for life marathon. She has an extremely demanding job being a social worker in the mental health field. The reason why I want to nominate her is for taking a very special role in our karate club, sadly our chief instructor Peter Hughes died of cancer 2 years ago and due Siwan's kind nature she took over the club. The club is a non profit making club whom has around 70 members, with Siwan's determination the club continues to grow. The club run's on a Tuesday and Friday evening with all the instructor's working voluntary. She is a remarkable person, she has so much courage, is always thinking of others, is always kind and cheerful. Siwan is a truly wonderful person, even though she has a very busy schedule she will always find time for anyone. This is why I would like to nominate her for this once in a lifetime experience to show her how much we appreciate her and all that she done for our club. I can say Siwan is a fantastic role model to which I aspire to.Since I joined karate 7 years ago,Siwan has been with me every step of the way, a great mentor and friend when I achieved my black belt it was the best feeling in the world and for that I thank Siwan dearly. If the world had more people like Siwan in it, it would definitely be a better place. This is our chance to thank Siwan on behalf of Sakura karate!I am a 3rd dan in karate, not second dan. I have participated 4 times in the race for life- crossing the line first on one occasion,, 2nd on another 3rd on another.
